CD -RW/DVD RW Blank discs

Why are they the same price when the DVD has 7x capacity? Just wondered.

    Same price? Where do you shop? They are nothing like the same price!
    100 CD's about twice the price of 25 DVD's (non Re-writeable) but it's brand dependant.
    Compare prices on Amazon, but even these can be beaten at computer fairs etc.

    It's called supply & demand.

    RW media (be it CD or DVD) doesn't offer anywhere near the compatibility that -R or +R offers, ergo people won't buy RW media as much as -R or +R.
