Dongle for taking abroad

Can anyone recommend a Dongle for my new Toshiba netbook? I would like to take the netbook to Majorca when I am on holiday, and thought that the best way to access the net would be using a dongle. I've looked on E-Bay and there are loads at fairly cheap prices, but I'm not sure what would be best.
I'm a bit clueless about this, so if anyone can advise, I would be more than grateful.

Using a UK Dongle in Spain will cost an arm and a leg, you will be " roaming ".
Your Hotel may offer free or low cost Wi Fi, obviously you should not need a dongle to access this.0 -
yes, roaming it is easy to clock up a mobile bill of a few thousand pounds even with what you'd regard as pretty 'lightweight' use at home.
It's certainly not a very cost effective method, options are local wifi/cabeled* connection at your destination hotel.
Other option is getting a 'local' dongle/data SIM card from the country you are going to.
(which you could add your own wifi access point to if you have something like the "apple airport express" -the hotel/provider won't really like and whether that works or not can be depenant on the strictness of access control/billing being applied)0 -
I have an unlocked O2 dongle which I use when we go to Finland.
You can get a Finnish Pay-As-You-Go SIM from an R-Kioski (chain of newsagent type shops) for around €10 which comes with credit and then you pay €1.90 a days unlimited broadbandor €6.70 for 7 days unlimited broadband.
I'm sure Spain won't have such good deals as Finland, as the Finns are very mobile phone oriented.
In fact, this page shows that you don't get such a good deal in Spain, but it's not terrible.

To add to this, I used a tmobile dongle in Spain last summer and it was painfully slow.
Not worth the bother at all IMO.
If you really need the internet, there are always places that have internet access. Hotels, internet cafes, probably cost you a few Euros to use.0
