No, loading windows won't wear the disk down any more than normal use.hard drives wont last forever everytime you reload windows they will wear down In my experience I have found they usually last about 4 years or so...
The Recovery CD/DVDs are another matter. Like any optical media these should be kept as clean as possible.0
