The last fiasco was definitely down to the marketing department. However, this one is down to both the individual stores AND the marketing dept. The marketing dept. cocked up by printing the price of the Xbox consoles on the octagonal FSDUs. The stores cocked up by not removing out of date SELs (including checking the octagonal FSDU and noticing the incorrect prices were printed on the damn thing), even though they'd been told that the price of the Xbox consoles was going to go up this week.

EDIT: To avoid the "what does FSDU mean?" posts, I'll just say this: FSDU = free standing display unit.

As long as you don't ask for a perticular item,you'll be fine.If i was you and didn't want a wasted trip,i would call ask them if they have any 360's in.If they have,ask them to put it to one side for you.Go to the store then look for a lower SEL.If you find one you know you have one reserved etc and if they haven't any in, you've saved yourself a wasted trip.

Well, tried 4 stores tonight and no luck on the Xboxes, all either had the right prices or no SELs so someone had beat us to it!




Did manage 4 copies of Tony Hawks though, 1 on a golden ticket so not all bad!

Busy but not good for me, late to work so couldn't go out at lunch and then hit four stores on the way home but all were correctly priced and no old displays anywhere in store.

Found this site too late for the first X-boxes and looks like hit this one too late, oh well.....

So busy trying to get the X-box that I left a few behind as well, anyone in North London fancy a Bush flat top CD player (ODD sel 24.xx, POC 29.xx) then give me a PM, I know where there are two up for grabs.;)

Possibly 'Taken. But I know something you don't and I still put this one at marketings door.

Just to clarify...if the SEL is dual located and not changed, thats the store. The FSDU is down to marketing.
