I'm trying to be a detective!!
Hi everyone, firstly I would like to apologise if I'm not meant to be posting this here but I'm kind of clutching at straws!
We are heading to Cardiff in a couple of weeks for our annual Westlife concert (rather excited now!!!), I've been desperately trying to find a way that we could meet the boys, its my best friends 40th in April and she is totally crazy about them, I would just love for her to be able to meet them, couldn't think of a better present I could give her
Does anyone know what hotel they are likely to be staying in? I mean I'm not wanting to literally stalk them, just a quick photo would absolutely be the best birthday for her..... help!!!
I also heard that it might be possible to try and catch them by the stage door gates, would anyone know what time they arrive for sound checks?
Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer!! :j

If they are playing at the Cardiff International Arena then it could be one of a few hotels, or they could be staying on the tour bus if they have one.
If they are staying in hotels in Cardiff then I would think it would most likely be one of these three, the nearest the Park Inn being just across the road from the venue, then there are the two 5* hotels, the Hilton which is not too far away opposite Cardiff Castle, then there is the St David's Hotel & Spa down at Cardiff bay.
If they are staying on the tour bus then that will be most probably parked in the large secure compound at the rear of the venue, if they are in a hotel then most bands get driven in inside a blacked out people carrier through the large security gates and into the rear compound.
If they do give autographs at the CIA then they would most probably come out to the rear security gates and do a meet and greet there, but to be honest not many bands do, they just get back in the people carrier and zoom off.
One other thing you could try is to contact the venue event manager and also the production company/tour management and explain the situation and ask if there is any way you could meet the band, not very likely it would happen but may be worth a shot if your that desperate to meet them.Psychosomatic addict, insane.0 -
To be honest most artists appearing in Cardiff stay at the Celtic Manor Resort. Why don't you try being cheeky and emailing the band through their agent/fansite and asking to meet them? Probably won't work but anything is worth a try!0

Thanks guys for your replies! We are planning on getting to Cardiff a little earlier (well quite early actually!!) and trying the waiting by the rear security gates, we are hoping that as its the first date of the new tour maybe they might be sweet to their fans
It has to be worth a try!
I have written to sony bmg and explained about my friend but they haven't replied! I have also sent messages on twitter to them with no reply..... I'm at my wits end! So really really hoping we get the opportunity by the gates!0 -
A lot of people stay at St David's Hotel and Spa in the bay, I met Ant and Dec and the BGT judges there this year (though they were in the Millennium Centre so it was closest). One of my coursemates works in the restaurant there and she's served all manner of famous people, who I presume would have been playing at the CIA.0

I wander if she would know any future hotel bookings??! She is probably not allowed to say anywayI took my detective work one step further and checked availability of these hotels, the Hilton was fully booked for the first night of the tour which makes me wander if thats where they will be staying then!

I know that Take That during the Circus tour stayed at the St Davids Hotel in Cardiff Bay, someone I know booked for a spa treatment at the hotel the day after the concert in the hope of bumping into them. If I remember rightly she did get to see them as well.
If they werent staying at St Davids then my other bets would be The Celtic Manor(just come back from a stay there its fab!!) or maybe the Vale which is where the Welsh Rugby Team stay, and also Liverpool FC when they played the FA Cup in Cardiff.0 -
