Only one way to find out. Submit a claim and see what they say.0

It would depend on whether you had any warranties or endorsements on the policy- alot dont specify what precautions need to be taken to prevent a theft from occuring.
Remember you will use force to go through any door, so it is almost always simply a case of whether violence (circumnavigating a lock by any method other than the key) is present.0 -
My policy states that all windows and doors must be locked when property is unoccupied and I would imagine most of them say that.So I very much doubt if they will pay out.0

Most of them do not say that at all, I visit 2-3 theft claims a day and on average one will have something about security endorsements in it. Even ones that do now often only apply an increased excess or avoid liability for certain items if the condition is breached.0

I have been with several insurers over the years and everyone of my policies has had this condition attached.
I take it you are an insurance assessor then? Which company would you recommend for paying out on a claim?0 -

He won't like being called an assessor, there is a very big difference between a loss assessor and a loss adjuster0 -
There are areas in the country with almost blanket security endorsements on them- but these are invariably either city centre locations or high risk areas. Even if there is an endorsement present I can name two that simply wouldnt stand up in court if the policyholder challenged them, so its not the be all and end all.0
