Brighthouse always get their customers to pay 'insurance' as you put it but this insurance is usually PPI! therefore have a look at this 'insurance' that you have taken out with them to see if it covers you for your financial difficulties and if not then they have mis-sold you it and put in a claim for all 'insurance' to be paid back to you!
PS - it will take longer than 2 months to get a court order, so if you can get a cooker at the end of the month then just sit tight 'till then.

thinks ill just put a bit money away each week and get a new one just to stop all this hassel as i still owe £600 so would be cheaper to just buy a new one!!!

Be careful if you decide to hand it back kirtsy. Its quite likely that they will still say you owe them additional money on top of handing it back, as its unlikely to be worth the amount you still owe.

Get some clear info from them as to how much you'll have to pay if you hand it back (in writing).
