Is asthma pre-existing medical condition for travel insurance?

I have asthma and we have an annual multi trip policy for the family with insureme4.co.uk . I declared this on my policy and there was no additional premium.

Definitely declare it, but shop around!

That's basically exactly what I've been asked in the past (as I'm asthmatic) - assuming you are controlled on your medication without the need for further intervention or hospital visits then most insurers are happy.

However, if you travelled without your medication then you might find yourself in difficulty on an insurance claim should you suffer from an attack.

Many thanks for all the replies. I will make sure we have it in insurance paperwork. Deffinately don't want to risk any problems.
