Re DLA & Mobility for over 65s

I have read this section that has been released about the Mobility Component stopping after your 65. I read this as the same rules as DLA Mobility Compnent that you cannot apply for it after your 65th birthday. The Goverment knows that the grey vote is one of the largest group who vote at every election I cannot see them upseting this group by stopping this benefit

Actually despite the responses to your post, I was indeed wondering the same thing.

Unless someone can point out where there is definitive information to the contrary, the way I read it is this:

All DLA recipients below pension age within the transition/reassessment period to PIP (where the new rules apply) will transfer to PIP and the new rules regarding the pension age cut off will apply.

I've haven't seen anything about existing pensioners who currently receive DLA being involved in any such process and also think that they may just continue as they are. This has happened to benefit changes before and I'm not sure that the government want to rock the boat with including pensioners into the equation.

Have I missed a vital thread somewhere saying otherwise? In which case please can you point me in the right direction.
Just in case you were wondering (some have)..... I'm a woman!
