notebook, laptop or what- advice please

I would like to buy a small device for my holiday. I want to browse the web ( in free wifi areas)- check emails and play spider solitaire. I am going to cyprus. any advice please. I don't know what androids are - or any of the other newer stuff. - thanks

I am bit of technophobe too but my friend has a Nexus which seems to tick all the boxes and you can get loads of apps ie spider solitaire

for what your wanting EITHER OR

netbook wont have an inbuilt dvd drive,

so if in the long run you would like that feature without having to buy a seperate drive,

buy a laptop

if your not fussed a netbook

whatevers cheapest and suits your budget

i've just looked at a utube thing on a Apad M7009
it looks small (good for travelling) but has a lot of extra things I wouldn't need. - and is the wifi bit connected to a phone package- ie do they cost money to run- thanks for the replies so far
