Arrrrgggggggggggg
Paid by wrong checkbook and have gone overdrawn on a reward account. My fault, didnt check as forgot I was issued one.
They have charged me a fiver for going overdrawn. Is this a 1 off charge or do they charge me per day?

I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0

Go and speak to them, explain your mistake, be civil, if you've never had any charges refunded in the last year then they will more than likely waive the fee as a gesture of goodwill as it is your first error and they can see from your account activity that you do not regularly go over your limit.0

It's £5 per day if you're in your unauthorised overdraft0

I rang them yesterday and explained I was a donought. She said hold on for 5 mins, ok the charges are gone as its the first time and we all make mistakes.

Would you not concider getting a small authorised overdraft? It means if you ever do it again its only £1 charge a day.0

I once accidentally paid with OH cheque book - his account, not joint. Nationwide authorised the payment even though it was my sigg and guarantee card no on the back. This sent his account overdrawn, and it took weeks and loads of calls and letters to get the charges refunded.
Just goes to show how carefully they check eh!Getting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

Yes, you do.
The £5 is only dependent on you paying in £1k+ during the month. You can be overdrawn for all or some of the month and still get the fiver.0 -

True but you should be grateful they did waive it in the first instance considering it was not the bank's error.0
