Littlewoods payments

Hi all,

if this isnt in the right place sorry! i had a browse and could not see anywhere it seemed to fit. Last year i brought a imac from littlewoods via a friend and used the "but now pay may2011 option", the intital cost was £2059 and i have been saving a little bit of cash every month which i now wish to pay some off ( about £1000 ) which brings me to my question...

If i pay off the £1000 before the 100 week payments are due to start will i still be charged the whole APR still? my friend whos littewoods account also is worried as she brought herself a laptop and has been paying it off weekely but isnt sure if she can pay off the £100 just off my imac rather than her whole account

thanks for any replys hope i made my questions semi clear as its a bit complicated and im tired :rotfl:

Thanks! answered the question about if i can pay off some before BUT not the other one, hopefully someone here might know :D

The total cost of the items i have on BNPL was £2059, if i pay £1000 before the day the intrest is charged do i still pay the intrest for the whole amount or just whats left of the balance?

thanks again! this forum is so helpful
  • I think the person' whose Littlewoods account it is needs to phone and tell them what the payment is for - they will then appropriate it against the BNPL item.
I have told them by letter and on the phone but they don't think they have a problem with apportioning payments.
I think they do but will they listen?
  • Phone them up and select the option to speak to an adviser tell them you want to make a payment but would like it allocating to a specific buy now pay later thats what i used to do, i used to pay things off in full so im not sure if they cant make part payments to items.

You need to settle the buy now pay later in full.

Your friend can phone and request that the £1000 pound payment is allocated towards your £2069 debt.

If you dont clear the £2069 you are looking at around an extra £700-800 worth of interest based on littlewoods typical APR of 39.9%.
