:( I really enjoyed spending the voucher but was surprised when the total was higher than my rough mental arithmatic. SA took so long to work out how to input the voucher though, that I forgot to check receipt until I got home .... I had bought 3 mini hemp hand creams (£5 each)and 3 lip balms (£2 each). They were all in the 3 for 2 but only £4 was deducted off the total ie 2 balms, not 1 balm and 1 hemp protector. Do you think it's worth phoning customer service? I don't head out to that store often and don't want to haul my hoard back there anyway...

Could you scan your receipt into an email as proof? Even if not, it couldn't hurt to email them. They might offer you a voucher.
  • I got 75 quids worth for 30 quid as i paid 18 quid the checkout. Could not resist lol. I had 8 showel gels at buy 4 for a tenner. I then had two packs of animal soaps with a strawberry shower polish on 3 for 2. I also had two big body butters strawberry and satsuma on 2 for 15 quid. I bought 2 gift baskets which after they wrapped the gifts with clear covering and lovely body shop ribbon for free.for spending a extra tenner i also had the strawberry shower scrub. So i ended up with 2 big gift packs for my sister in law birthday and mother in law for mothers day. Plus extra shower gels for me. Very happy. When my husband saw the 75 quid orginal figure he was in shock ha ha. Now he understands why i spend so many hours on this site x

Unfortunately, I think it's correct. As both the hemp creams and the lip balms were 3 for 2, the cheapest products would be free. In your case, these were the lip balms. So:

    5 (hemp) + 5 (hemp) + 5 (hemp) + 2 (balm) + 2 (balm) + 2 (balm)

    minus 2 + 2 = £4.

They don't count it as the cheapest product in a 'set' i.e. one of the hemp creams and one of the lip balms. They count it as the cheapest products in your overall transaction. I've had this debate with many shops before as it's quite unfair!

    great bargains all!!

just wanted to mention re the 3 for 2 thing and the cheapest item. I went in today and got 3 x lip butters and 3 x small body butters on the 3 for 2, body butters are £5 and lip butters £4. She went through it and said she had to till up the body butters together and then the lip butters to make sure I got one of each free otherwise it would give me the 2 lip butters free and cost me £1 more, they are brilliant at my local shop and seemed like it may have come up before as she was straight on it, think it's just a case of them ringing it up in batches? or you going to the til twice with 2 lots?

I got my LYB discount and £5 off for my 4th stamp so got the lot for £11+ !! very pleased and well stocked up now!

Snugglebunny you are spot on - they are brilliant at my local BS too - you have to ring up the purchases separately - ie. 3 body butters together then 3 lip balms together.

They did this for me and apologised for the inconvenience of making separate transactions - they are soooo lovely! :A

Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

I've had to have things put through as two separate transactions before in order to avoid the two cheapest items going through as free, but doing it that way meant that the SA wouldn't give me a stamp on my LYB card - I'd spent over £10 in total but each of the two individual transactions were under £10 so they wouldn't allow it. Swings and roundabouts! :(
