Wouldn't it be nice if a bank...

Wouldn’t it be nice if a bank was competitive on all of its products?
Market leading/matching-
Interest rates on ISA, Savings and current accounts
Competitive-
Loans, Mortgages, overdraft rates, credit card charges
Provided-
UK call centres
A few branches
Intuitive and easy to use online banking
Above average customer service (not asking for the moon on a stick here, just above average)
Offered-
Useful banking benefits
Optional extras - not rammed down your throat by post and online.
Incentives – airmiles, rewards etc.
You could keep most of your banking with one service provider and simplify your finances.
Is it really unimaginable that a bank could one day think – hold on a minute lets be good at everything we do and not just average or nearly the best?
If only… ..
Until then I will have my mortgage, ISA, savings, credit card, and loans spread across separate service providers.

Best bank today would be second best next week as the competitors cherry pick the bits they want - a little bit like Tesco loans etc.0

You're making the mistake a lot of people do and presume that a bank operates in the best interests of its customers.0

To get the perfect bank, we may need a few mergers:
Coutts to merge with Santander. Absolutely Cr&p service, but by Royal Appointment.
Co-op to merge with Lloyds. Environmental enough to pick up the black horse !!!!!!.
Nationwide to merge with HSBC. Listens into your phone calls all over the country.
Birmingham Midshires to merge with ICICI. No Call centre (well could you understand Indians with a Birmingham Accent?)
Halifax to merge with Baroda (Better adverts - Bollywood stars instead of cheap employees)
Cumberland BS to merge with Egg and Alliance & Leicester. To be called Sausage, Egg, and !!!!!!0 -

Won't it be nice if all customers searched for themelves for the market leading rates on Savings, ISAs ,CC's, Loans, Mortgages and all their financial products rather than being spoon fed?
What you are wanting/proposing is sheer business suicide.
No financial institution will do this unless they want to go bankrupt.0 -

Hmmm..
I do and its a pain in the backside. Moving money every year, swapping accounts, etc.
Spoon fed! Thats not the point of my post. But your reply is typical of someone on a high horse hiding behind a keyboard.
If you are so keen on doing your own research stop using a forum and seeking other peoples opions and advice. What you are wanting/proposing is sheer business suicide.

No its not and your statement is unfounded. Market leading products and service should not be detremental to business.Love is all you need da da da da da..... and a little help from a forum every now and then.0
