Childrens savings

Hi

Can you anyone advise me pls....

My little boy have £1800 in his halifax savings, been into branch as they said could have 5%, to which seems not, I cant transfer his money to that account only open one where we save monthly of 5% - was happy to save him some every month but also would like his money that he already has in that account.

What i want is a high intrest rate and the option to add money as a when even monthly dont mind - Seen fixed rates for 3-5yrs but seems i cant add extra money to these only the original amount opened with, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Emma

  • Do you need access to the money you are saving for him or are you happy for it to be tied up?
