Is anyone else with scottish power? Has anyone else had any problems logging onto their account?, it says my email is not recognised. I have tried ringing them but the wait time is between 44 mins and 1 hour 7 mins!

  • Hi,

I had this problem. They had somehow - twice - lost my email address.

This also meant they moved me from an online tariff to a standard one, which is more expensive.

To get in touch, I contacted them through the online contact form, as phone was a lengthy wait, telling them that they needed to sort this out and put me back on my online tariff within 14 days. They did sort it, within a few days, and I had emails and a phone call to sort it out.

I then had to go through the whole rigmarole again two weeks later, as they did it again. However, 3 months down the line and all seems fine!

i have this morning recieved a letter saying that i have been removed from the online energy service, because they say i have failed to register a valid email address. i have been using scottish power online for over 2 years entering my meter readings every single week! please can the scotish power rep please help me?

email sent yesterday to the above email address.
  • Hi!

I have received a letter this morning saying that my 'account has been removed from the Online Energy Services' as Scottish Power tried to contact me via email but could not send it.

Apparently I had been send a letter stating that problem and that I had 28 days to resolve it or I would be removed from the online services. Well, I did not receive the letter in the first place...

The letter I got today was not addressed to me in person (no name) but to the property and sir/madam. First I thought it was some kind of scam as surely they should be using my name in the address as well as the greeting in the text body?

I then tried logging into my account but my email was not recognised... I sent an email to the conplaints department referring to the forum post below
