Hello,
I just got back into the country recently, having travelled around Mexico for 5 months. I decided I had better go to the job centre and sign on and start looking for work and have just had my first day of signing today.
I got a phone call from a medical study centre who asked me if I was interested in a soon to go ahead trial. It isn't for another 6 weeks but i initially agreed over the phone. Now I know that I need to declare this stuff if I am doing it as extra, that is to be taken as read but the days I have to go inside the centre would be over the days that I am now signing on.
Say if I get to the beginning of April and then cancel my jobseekers allowance, can I do this without any repercussions from them? I mean, when the trial is over and I am still out of work, will I have any problems reclaiming for jobseekers while looking for work. I really do not intend to be on benefits for long as it is depressing as hell but I just figured this would be a great way to save a lump sum so I can move back out of my parents (again).
Any help or advice will be muchly appreciated.
Thanks
