Bearsted is the wrong side of Maidstone, and really just a suburb these days. Boxley has no railway station (see the OP), and is on the main alternative road rat-run between Maidstone and Medway. Leybourne is New Hythe dressed up as a horrible modern estate, where visitors have to pay to park. Newington is divided by the busy A2, with a nicer hinterland of Upchurch, Lower Halstow, and Bredhurst, none of which are an hour from London (door to door).
i'm confused as to what you mean by the last part? From Upchurch it would take no more than an hour to get to london from my experience.

My husband and i will still be commuting to London Bridge so i have looked at all the lines out of there under an hour away.
Have you included the car journey from Rainham station? Door to door is likely to be well over an hour commute most days.

Not much danger of that on an hourly village service that stops at 18.30.

Any advice or opinions on Tonbridge would be much appreciated
We drove through Upchurch when researching Kent villages to live in. As pretty as it is, it simply does not fulfill the requirements of the OP.
    Been away for a while.
