I just saw this on one of my "friends" Facebook wall:
Who'd have thought that the utility company will estimate if you don't give an accurate readingDear edf energy thanks for giving me a heart attack from the £200 estimated gas bill you sent me When the Actual bill is £12.95. Had no idea they based your bill on the previous tenant unless you phoned and gave them a proper reading! Cheeky !!!!!!!s, imagine If I hadn't queried it!
