Replacement for a GeForce G210 graphics card

On several occasions now after turning my PC on, I have returned to the PC and the monitor appears to be in sleep mode - the green power light is amber typically a movement of the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard and it comes back to life, but on these occasions nothing happens and I am guessing that the GeForce G210 graphics card is on its way out.

It is a low profile card with 512Mb memory and I would like some advice as to what to replace it with?

Thanks

Buying a new graphics card seems an expensive way of fault finding to me for what could turn out to be a driver or windows issue.

I know what you are saying, I have used a different cable so ruled that out, I don't think it is the monitor as the sleep/awake modes are sent from the PC, the next (logical) step is I think the graphics card.

I am not a gamer and it is not a high end card which aprt from this problem performs perfectly well for me, the example from PC World is £63 althoguh there is a more direct match at £49 which I can find elsewhere for £33.

I have not given this much urgency, I first noticed the problem about 3 months ago and am now worried that I am not going to be able to coax it into life soon or I could bite the bullet and spend £30-odd and at least determine that I have fixed the PC or at least ruled out the graphics card.
