Waiting for IE8 to show MSE forums

When I'm browsing the forums, I notice that there is quite a long delay after the forum pages have loaded - they look complete, but in the IE status bar at the bottom it's saying "Waiting For http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/..."

With Safari this doesn't happen.

I'm on Windows 7. I've deleted all my internet history, passwords, cookies etc and it hasn't made any difference.

Anyone any ideas?

Yes, I've just had exactly this on my laptop.

I found that by going to tools, manage add on's and disabling alot of the background tools (toolbars & extensions) has made it run normally again.

It was only this website that it happened on. Everything else was fine.

MSE do use google analytics which may be the problem but I just opened the this board up with IE8 and saw no real issue even running a netbook on a 3G dongle.

My IE8 is completely vanilla because I don't use it so I suspect your problem is caused by add ons or toolbars or other similar dross as already suggested.
