voluntary redundancy letter

Options
Where i work they have been asking for voluntary redundancies so i didn't put my name down this time but if my working tax credit don't go up in april and they are asking again for voluntary redundancies i will put my name down as it's just not worth me workng. I was told yesterday if you except voluntary redundancy the company is given you a letter to say that you have excepted voluntary redundancy but can they do this as people are not going to get jsa if they give you a low amount like i would get.

If you havent been with the company 2 years then you dont qualify for statutory redundancy. Whether they offer you a package (which they are more likely to do if voluntary) is a different matter.

As for JSA, you can still qualify for income based jobseekers instead of contribution based. See below:
Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance - If you have a low income, have been self employed or have not paid enough National Insurance contributions you may be able to claim. You will recive less if you have savings of over £6,000 and will probably not qualify if you have savings of over £16,000 .
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
