Tues 22 Feb - what small DFW things will you be doing today??!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:j:j:j
Hi everyone
Hope everyone is looking forward to a great Tuesday!! :j
Big hugs to everyone plodding on :grouphug: even those lurkers we know nothing about
My little list:

I hope everyone is happy and up for it today (see I'm trying!) I'm going for focusing on what I can do & not getting stressed at all todaywho's with me?

) & fruit for snacks
- check for surveys
- NSD
- go for a walk after work for free exercise (still not feeling 100% so not wanting to go back to the gym yet)

Early for once! Thanks for starting the thread La E
Today:
Work as usual, but at least it isn't Monday any more
[STRIKE]
Check online banking
[/STRIKE]
See to dogs and chooks (in a minute)
Read news online while eating breakfast (porridge with some raspberries from the freezer today)
Make packed lunch for work
Washing on line if not raining, airer if it is yucky like yesterday - haven't looked yet!
Use cheaper car park at station
Pick up a free newspaper to while away the boring train journey
Go to bank at lunchtime to pay in rent money
HM supper from stores (I did a new inventory at the weekend, so am extra enthusiastic about crossing off items on the shiny new list - sad I know!)
Do a bit more decluttering - I am moving later this year and have decided to start to get rid of some carp in advance. This is actually MS in the long run (I tell myself). Currently our wheelie bin is only about half full each week, so I can easily stick in a few more bags of junk on top of the normal rubbish. Otherwise, when it comes to actually moving, OH will have to spend money on diesel for endless journeys to the tip. Look for treasure to ebay while sorting (I think it is the filing cabinet next, so not likely to find any in there!)
Check ebay item that now has 14 watchers and a bid :j
Sort out a few more things for the charity shop pile.
No doubt I will think of a few more things later
Have a lovely day everybody0 -

- check for surveys
Ha ha, busted!!Got it wrong actually - it's a 'launch party' - he might get offended if I say it's just a gig
Surveys! I always forget about Onepoll that I do - 35p yesterday - will check for more...
I'm with you btw - focussing on what I can do (paperwork day today so a lot of plugging numbers into the right place) and not getting stressed - don't plan on conversing what many people (no conf calls like yesterday for a start!) so I reckon it's doable
Have a great day! x0 -
Morning all.
Stupidly I left my sandwiches in the fridge yesterday, so had to go out and buy one at work. Only £1 but it still annoyed me. OH ate them for lunch, so at least they didn't go to waste, and it is only the 2nd time this year that I've had to buy a work lunch, which isn't bad I suppose considering we're nearly at the end of February.
Today won't be a very good DFW day, as I've got a plumber coming round to fix a leak from the bath and shower.
On the plus side I've had an e-mail notification that my expenses have been approved, so they should be in the bank in a few days.
Off for a run now, then doctors when I get back. Will catch up with everyone's posts later. Have a great day everyone.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -

Morning everyone!
I am definately with you determined! I've got a really busy diary today but it's nothing that's going to make any money...boo!
Here is my list:-
- Check banking
- Make the most of nothing
- Finish the risotto for my lunch
- Dinner from stores, not decided what yet, we have so much!
- Wii fit
- Log calories on my free app (PS someone uses an expenditure app, which one is it please???)
- DM coming over tonight to look after DD tomorrow
- Set washing to run in tumble over night (there is some this time...lol)
- Attempt to put shower curtain back up after I pulled it out of the wall this morning, though I feel this may go the same way as my bedroom curtain pole I pulled out about a month and a half ago....ie: left down....
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0
