Anyone applied for an RBS student royalties account online?

when you sent you're application back with the necessery ID how long did it take for them to get your account opened (i.e. you recieved your account number and sort code etc)

    I did it last year

    took less than 2 weeks I seem to remember
    although I had a right job getting a debit card out of them - despite requesting it on the app form
  • If you apply online, it's best to take the application for they send you to sign (and request ID) into a branch with your proof of ID - they take copies and forward it all on to the applications centre. I did this with natwest and the account was opened within a week of applying - I received my chequebook about a week later, and my card and pin a couple of days after that...

    Of course, this assumes you have a branch near you! :rolleyes:
