Timed Volume control

I have a timed shutdown program so you tell the computer to turn off after 3 hours.

I now need a similar program which will allow me to turn the volume down in different ways (stepped or gradual) automatically at my pre specified times. Does such a program exist?

So I can go to sleep listening to music.

If you're using Windows, you could probably write a short script in AutoIt to open the audio mixer and turn down the volume, then use the Task Scheduler to get it to run at a certain time...
