iTunes has deleted iPhone music

Hiya, was just wondering if anyone could help, basically;

My daughter got an iPhone at Christmas and has been downloading music via wifi since then, I tried to sync it to the PC this evening but iTunes stopped responding then restarted for some reason and when the sync was finished all but five of the songs that she has bought via the iPhone had disappeared, although all that have been bought through the computer are still in the library. Is there any way of retrieving the missing songs?

TIA :)

    If they have not been sync'd to the pc then she will have to download them again. They will be free but do it from the pc whilst the iphone is attached then sync afterwards.

    It is a good idea not to have iTunes automatically sync songs.
