We had our wedding night in the very posh room of a very old pub.(4 poster and all).
The room was on quite a steep slope. As we were sliding down during the night, we had to get down at the foot of the bed and climb back up again... kept us awake
(the only time I wished we had handcuffs to keep us at the top!!!:rotfl: )I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -
I was married Abroad and this mighty fly decided to attack me during the service!Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0

I never turned up ..... and oh how I chuckled to myself.

We realised that neither my new husband or I had a house key on us so we were locked out, he had to borrow a ladder to climb in through the upstairs bedroom window in his top hat & tails!

We had transvestite maids doing the reception catering back at our house (one of them my ex-bf), and my mother realised she could demand what she liked and get the response 'Yes ma'am.' She must've drunk 15 cups of tea just for the novelty value! The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

When we were taking our vows, the registrar called my husband by my name, the bit where you have to say i blah blah take blah blah, instead of saying my husbands name she said mine which relaxed us all a little bit.
On the way out of the room (register office) i tripped over my dress
At our reception my garter fell down my leg, i only realised when my hold up stocking was flapping around my shoe and hubby's uncle had my garter on around his head
If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.
