postage to Romania

Hi.
I sold an electrical item on ebay and realised that the buyer is in Romania - the buyer has paid £25.00 for the postage, my item weights 6.49kg and I want to make sure that the item is signed for by him. However I have another question, the buyer sent me a message to say could I put on the customs form that the item was less than he paid for it due to the tax in their country? Does anyone know if this is true or am I being scammed?

You do not need a customs form/declaration for a parcel from UK to EU (Romania).
As for a courier, try transglobal express or p4d.0 -

it would be best to open you own thread rather than highjack someone else's, with questions not relevant to the initial OP0 -

Sorry I didn't realise this was a closed thread and was only for one person, I did a search on the forum and looked for ebay international postage and this was what came up.0 -

Hi
It isn't a closed thread but your question was not the same as the OP so it gets confusing and you may well not have received the full amount of responses that you need to work through this. I have therefore moved your post to its own thread.
OK, firstly it is up to you to set the postage, so where did the buyer get the £25 from?
I assume since you allwoed foreign bidders that you had a rough idea of postage, it will need a courier as it is over the RM airmail limit so do you have a courier already? If not check out the courier thread for some suggestions and advice. Once you have a proper quote for the postage let the buyer know, if ti is less you can repay a little, if more you will need to send a new invoice.
In future though if allowing non UK bidders it is useful to add postage costs to your auction so they can see before they bid and not just make up postage costs.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
