Best Connection Employment Agency paid my wages into someone else's account!

Best Connection Employment Agency have paid my week's wages into the wrong account. My account ends with a 3 but the wages have been paid into an account ending 5 (the rest of the account numbers are identical). The employment agency have been really unhelpful and obviously Nationwide won't speak to me regarding the other account as it's not mine...at a loss as to where to turn now! I'm surprised the banking system allows this error to happen, be interested to hear if anyone else has suffered the same kind of thing!

If it is their mistake it doesn't matter who they have sent money to, they still owe you your wages. You shouldn't have to be worrying about getting them back. Do you have a copy of the form you provided with the correct banking details?Anna :beer:0

Not a fault of the 'banking system' (for a change!).
Completely and 100% the fault of the employment agency. They must pay you in full and sort out their mistake. You should not be left without money.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
+1 .
It's the responsibility of the Employment Agency to forfill their contract to pay you. Their error, their job to sort it out.
If they refuse then speak to the CAB and get advice.0 -
I'm very surprised that anybody could have account numbers just 2 digits apart.0

Was the agency provided with the correct details?0

If the account number exists and they have a request to put funds into it, then of course they will.
100% error is the agency unless you wrote a 5 instead of a 3, it happens, you need to see the form with your details on which you filled out.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Have you checked the account details the money as been sent to is valid? Use this website below to check:

No doubt the money may just be sitting in the banks suspense account if it turns out the details are invalid.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
