Fixing glass lampshade - what glue?

I have a beautiful lamp, shaped like a snowdrop, so the shade and bulb point down.
The glass shade has pulled away from its metal and is threatening to fall off and break. OH has glued it with Superglue a couple of time, but the repair doesn't last more than a couple of months.
I'd be very grateful if anyone can recommend glue that really does work.

I would think probably a 2-part epoxy glue would be best, something like Araldite. It comes in 2 tubes, you have to mix a small amount of hardener with the glue, which then starts the curing process. Just read the instructions on the pack. Available at any DIY store, and probably most supermarkets.
I say Araldite, this is one of the old "original" 2-part glues that my dad always swore by, there are actually loads of different makes these days. Though dare I say it without being accused of advertising - the original and still the best :-)0 -
Thank- you very much. I will get some this afternoon.
