Washing Machine

Someone recommeded using Soap crystals to prevent a build-up of limescale in the washing machine and should be done at least once a month, it can also be used for other things such as the sink etc.
Are there any other products worth considering.
Thanks,

It's Soda crystals, Soap crystals ( or soap flakes ) are a different thing altogether :-)
But you can get them anywhere - the first thing Google threw up was :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=soda+crystals&!!!!!googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=6660798613&ref=pd_sl_217c09pgmv_e
But you'll probably get them a lot cheaper at a supermarket, Wilkos, Pound shop, hardware shop, anywhere like that.
Here are some ideas for uses of them :

Useful information,
