I have had items delivered from Ebay where the sellor has altermatically sent the items recorded delivery which I have signed for. I think i is used to hopewfully ensure the item gets to the person who bought itCompetitions wins 2010

i offer my buyers a choice of regular post, recorded or special. if tehy want it they ask for it and they do in about 8/10 cases. if they want it why shouldnt i let them have it?:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0

What about if the seller is dishonest and doesn't send the item? Or if it gets stolen in the post? I have had 2 items stolen in the past year which were sent recorded delivery and never reached their destination...0

if teh item is stolen or lost in teh post the sender can file a claim with teh royal mail after a 28 working day waiting period and the money exculding postage is refunded.:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0

Mm. Next time read the auction, eh? Cancelled sales are a major annoyance to a seller.
(I'm not condoning high P&P - but that thing you see when you bid - 'By clicking on the button below, you commit to buy this item from the seller if you're the winning bidder.' it's meant to MEAN something)My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

i think there should be a law against overcharging P&P. I cancelled three ties today I bought on ebay as it would have cost £12.00 to deliver. scandal:mad:
I saw some TV shopping channel last night that were selling 6 4" pies for 15.99 + 5.90 postage and I can't swear to it but I bet you had to call a 09 number to order.

Mmmmmm....Steak 'n' Onion
I don't offer a choice in my listings. For normal decluttering, I always charge for Recorded Delivery, but don't overcharge, and have yet to have someone complain about the postage cost.
For pricier items (iPods etc), I only offer Special Delivery. It's slightly dearer, but at least none of us will end up out of pocket (fingers crossed).0 -
We don't offer a choice, everything is sent Special delivery nor do we overcharge on postge.0
