BB scheme is a nice little earner for some....sell the BB for £300, ring BB issuer [council??] saying "Opps I lost it", get new one - repeat every 2 months.

Never seen the toilet thread and happy not to get involved there.;)
Not many have posted on the toilet thread as most have said they don't use the disabled toilet as it's for wheelchair user due to they need more space. Now the sign that is on a disabled toilet is the same sign that is painted on the disabled parking bay but no one has thought about a wheelchair user.

Do we all agree that the blue badge system is being abused?

Or are you just bitter because you're too lazy to walk and want a space as close to the door as possible for yourself?

No im quite happy to walk where ever. So is my deaf mam and so is my disabled father who tries his very best to walk as much as he can on his own without having to resort to his wheelchair. Both are happy to park where there is a free space - whether on their own or have me to assist.

They see no need why they should have a right to park as close to the front as anyone else apart from those who really do have difficulty.

so what was your point again?

Or were you making sweeping assumptions that because i have no declared any of the above before that my arguement is null and void?

yes, I think that was probably it wasnt it.

the sign is not just there for those in a wheelchair though - its a universal sign for the disabled. And again there is no law that states that these toilets are strictly for the use of by the wheelchair bound disabled or any other disabled person in any form.

the signs are there to denote that this toilet is accessible for persons who are disabled be they wheelchair bound or not.

    You think they would??????

Remember here we're talking about local government jobsworths - they're too busy worrying about redundancy to do any real work.

Seriously, they have no option but to re-issue...even if they do notice an irregularity.

Why do you need more room than a conventional toilet if you are not disabled?

    Can you not aim?
