Any advice on where to sell my car - websites?

Hi All,

Selling a 1999 Daewoo Lanos and wondering where to sell it?

I've heard of freeads and pistonheads, and had a look at ebay, but got a bit put off by the £8 listing fee and then £20 end fee.

The car is prob worth £450-500 - feel free to shoot me down in flames or point me in a good direction.

No-one is going to travel long distance for that sort of car, so I'd go with the local paper and a big sign in the window.

Got rid of my £400 volvo that way, just laser printed £399 on 4 sheets of A4, and a 5th sheet with all the info. Repeat for both front and back, and after a bit a builder down the road bought it.

Advertise on gumtree. I would say 80% of the cars i sell are sold via gumtree - and its free!

Thanks for these, going to add it on gumtree and have just printed some A4 signs with the price on and the fact it's got 1 year MOT on it!

pistonheads is a very good site to sell the car & its also free.. this is where i sold my car last month. also adtrader
