Aviva car insurance

Has anyone used Aviva?
So far they have given the cheapest quote, but as we know, price isn't everything.

Do a search here and on the net for peoples experiences of their "service" should it have been needed. (Under their old name Norwich Union as well as Aviva).

You will see how they are so cheap.

For price yes i would recommend them.

For service I would say stay as far away as possible! I had a car accident 3 weeks ago and they caused me nothing but trouble.

Telling me my car was booked in to be assessed one day and that they had faxed all info to the garage. The same day i got a phone call from the garage to arrange assessment when i explained the insurance had already did it the garage had received nothing at all from my insurance company and couldnt fit my car in at all that week.
They caused me so many problems i got a coutesy car at there expense and they still managed to mess that up, telling it was being collected at a certain date/time and the company they got the car from had no idea it had been arranged to be collected and they werent even open at the time i was told it was being collected.

It may have been a one off but personally i wouldnt recommend them to anyone:)

And I had the awful experience of a burglary and my car being stolen six weeks ago.
Aviva customer service has been excellent and I really can not fault the car insurance side of the claim. I would highly recommend them, based on our experience. I Have received payment for car, which I kept hoping would still turn up.
House contents claim still in process, but we were slow submitting all of the required paperwork, so can't fault them there so far.
