I'd much appreciate some help here - I'm non-techie, so I'm pretty useless.
I've used wireless connection via a belkin router to my laptop for the past 2yrs with no problems.
y'day I couldn't access my yahoo mail. a padlock icon appears next to the address bar with a msg: 'digicert has id'd this site as login.yahoo.com. this connection to the server is encrypted'.
my other laptop is similarly effected.
I'm getting desperate so any advice would be well rec'd!

That sounds correct - the Yahoo login page is a secure one (https) and the SSL certificate is issued by digicert.torontoboy45 wrote: »a padlock icon appears next to the address bar with a msg: 'digicert has id'd this site as login.yahoo.com. this connection to the server is encrypted'
I assume you get the message when you click on the padlock.
The Yahoo login page is here - is that what you get. What happens when you put in your email address and password?0 -

Definitely not the norm. Do a full anti-virus/malware scan. If nothing found, do a HJT scan, and then post the results in the techie part of the forum.0

Maybe try adding it to the safe sites list in your browser?0
