Anybody still not got their Student loan through?

My son has`nt, he`s been chasing it up for a couple of weeks, today he`s been told that the person whose dealing with his , is away on holiday! only back on monday.

    I got some of mine last month.. but they had assessed me wrong so I only got about half.. gawd knows when they'll sort it out. I called them today and they said I need to contact my LEA... not possible :mad:

    My daughter got hers a few days after she enrolled.
  • I had this problem once. Found out that I had to re-enroll with my university each year. I assume they then inform Student Loans Company that you have been registered.

    Thanks for replies, problem being he only enrolled when uni`s went back in Sept, its his 1st year, but even so, they taking the p***!

  • if your son/daughter as enrolled fully at college/uni then it's 3 working days from when the college informs the student loans company.

    the problem then is that if your son/daughter hasn't given all the relevant info to the loans company they won't tell you, but will just wait for you to get fed up of no money and ring them

    i had a student come to me in this situation and when i rang the loans company it was because she hadn't given them her NI number. but they weren't going to bother telling her that.
