Returning to work

Finally. 14 months and 5 days after knocking off work, I am able to return to duties. A major road traffic accident on the way home cause this. A phased in return will be implemented. But I find myself in the unenviable position that my income will be less than the current benefits I am receiving, as I will start on 3 half days (5 hours) a week. It's a crazy situation, and one that I am asking you all, if you have any suggestions.
