hi
im a first time user on this site
im just after advise on mortgages. heres the story parents divorce and he is entitled to some money from the house. so ive gone in with my mum to re-mortgage so we can buy him out as we really dont want to have to sell. so we applied and we were refused because some of the bank statements were showing over drawn even though we have never missed a payment and 1 payment was 2 days late. so im just after some advise as to where to go from here and if there is still a chance for us to get a mortgage?
any advise would be much appreciated
thanks

Hi nix
Sometimes that can happen depending on your banks attitude to missed/late payments, but it might not have just been that - it could have been a combination of factors
the best thing you can do now is speak to an independent mortgage broker who is whole of market, this means they have a system that allows them to access all the mortgage products from all the lenders in the UK - so they will give you the right advice and place your remortgage with a lender who will accept your application
Some brokers charge a fee for their services, some don;t and earn commission.I am a Mortgage Adviser
