storage heater fuse

Hi
It looks like the main fuse in the hall for one of my lounge electric storage heaters has gone. I have had this problem in the past and the electrician swapped it for another fuse in the box that didn't have an appliance attatched to it, just til a new fuse could be ordered. Is this something that I can do until I can order a new fuse or should I get an electrician out to see to it? If I did need to order a new fuse, any idea where can I get one from?
Thanks very much.

physically take the electrical fuse to any electrical wholesaler- local one will be in the phone book. Most fuses are user friendly and can easily be removed/replaced. If not removable take a note of the make of the fuse board and on the fuse there is usually a code which you can give to the supplier and he should be able to help you with those details.0

hmm , would always advise that the circuit/stoarge heater is tested by an electrician as the fuse has blown for a good reason.0
