£5 notes in cash machines?

£5 notes from a Lloyds cash machine in Sheffield, was surprised as there was an on screen message advising that fivers may be dispensed!

Our HSBC cash machine in our town hands out fivers now, So far its the only 1 though! ALL cash machines should! I never had any real problems with my account til cash machines stopped dishing £5ers out!

I don't know if it is all Tesco, but our Tesco cash machine gives out fivers, and it even says on the screen and the start "this cash machine dispenses £5 helping you spend less - every little helps"!

My nationwide machine at local garage has started giving them out, gto them a few times now.

I've never seen one come from a cash point - but I think I'm conditioned to ask only for £10! So it's been a long time since I've tried to ask a cash point for only a £5! But I've never had two come out when asking for £10.

About a year ago from a Lloyds TSB cashpoint in Cambridge, I withdrew £20 and it gave me 4x £5 notes, I was surprised!

Tesco's machine by us gives out fivers and you can withdraw just five pounds if thats all you want.

In Newcastle Upon Tyne, a few machines have 5£ notes. Mostly next to university, but a few in the town centre do as well Never saw them anywhere else.

Tescos local store machine near us dispenses £5 notes now and you can opt to withdraw just £5. Also the Tesco machine at the main shop in town does £5 notes as well.
