Dishwasher - Plumbing.

Hello All,

I have a VERY small kitchen, complete with washing machine.

I'm looking into getting a dishwasher, which will fit under my sink, inside the cupboard.

My question is: how would it plumb in? Will i need any parts?

Never had a dishwasher before so a little confused by it!

Does that mean i can have both a dishwasher and washing machine plumbed in at the same time??
Will i need an extra fixing?

What do you mean by an extra fixing?

I did the same thing in my old house. You need a cold water feed and waste, I used a y connector on the cold water, so one went to the washing machine and one to the dishwasher. Then I bought a bit of kit that you screwed onto the side of the waste pipe which made a hole in it and left it sealed.

Not sure if it is the best way of doing it, but it didn't cost much and was fine for the 3 years or so until we left.

I did try to make sure we never used the 2 appliances at the same time though
