egg credit limit

hi,

i applied yesterday for an egg credit card,i received a message upon logging in today that i have been approved and to go through and sign the agreement.upon looking at the agreement, next to total amount of credit it says 'We will set and tell you the credit limit from time to time'.

do they not tell you what your limit is before you digitally sign this?if the limit is low i wont bother with the card as i want to do a balance transfer

if i call them first will they tell me what it is?

You will only be told the limit once the account has been opened.

This is the same for every credit card in the land!

If it isn't enough close it and apply elsewhere. Any reason for you to think it won't be enough? Even if it's not as much as you're hoping, some balance at 0% is better than no balance at 0%.

Egg along side MBNA are most likely to provide you with a large limit, anyway. Chances are whatever Egg approved you for it will be more than most other card providers in the land :o

Actually I was told my limit onscreen when my egg card was approved last month. I was accepted straightaway though and when I logged in consequently there was no mention of the limit until I activated the card

I'm sure my mbna card 18 months ago gave me the limit on applying too.

But in your case the account had already been opened the second you passed the credit score :o

I think you'll find that online credit card applications require you to tick a box / type your name under the credit agreement before clicking submit, after which you are given a decision and potentially a limit.

They can't decide the limit without doing a credit check, and they can't do a credit check without your digital signature :o

Still, good new on the limit I hope it's enough?
