Garage Service Plan
I have a family member who had a service plan through a francised dealer who went bust. They found out that the company who collected the money just passed it on to the dealer every month and the dealer used the money for something else (probably a holiday home in the Cayman Islands). They paid in about £150 in total and lost the lot along with a few hundered others I presume. The people that took over they business said that this was quite common with this type of system.
I would have thought there would be some kind of legislation to protect peoples money, after all this is 'customer money'.
