Deprivation of capital

Options
sorry I know there are threads on this but I wanted to ask advice .
My aunt has early stage dementia .
She lives alone and has her own house .
I want to pay for a funeral plan now .
I also want to use some off my aunts saving to put a headstone on her husbands grave .
I also want to use some off her savings to take her our for regular trips ,this will involve getting taxis .This week she went to see her sister ,taxis cost £40 each way .
Will any off this be seen as deprivation of capital IF she needs to move into a care home .

What does your aunt want? What you want is a bit irrelevant - it's her money and until she is incapable it's up to her how she chooses to spend it.

So I don't think deprivation of capital is your main issue at the moment - it may be Power of Attorney. Once you have it it is your duty to put your own wishes aside and act in your aunt's best interests. 'I want' doesn't come into it.

I'd doubt though if the proposed expenditure would be regarded as deprivation of capital.
