Confused About Benefits Entitlement???

Hi All
Thanks for taking the time to read this thread.
I am 28 and my partner is 25. We live together in a rented house in Bridlington which costs u 550 a month and our council tax is 144 a month.
I work full time and at the minute I work 35hours a week earning 6pounds a hour. I also get 40 tax credits a week.
My partner works for the council and earns 1000 a month but her contract is only a temp contract and this ends at the end of March.
She will 22weeks pregnant by then.
She is going to go on Job seekers allowance when her contracts ends.
What we were wondering is if we can get any help towards our rent and council at all? With me the only one bringing in a wage we will struggle to live on what I earn alone.
We do have an appointment at Citizens Advice in March but I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what we may get.
Thank you for any help

Assuming your partner has been working for a while you should not be receiving tax credits. Have you declared that you are a couple?Gone ... or have I?0
