Cleaning up a plaster dust etc.

Hi,
We are getting to the decorating stage of our renovation process. The structural changes ae over and the house has been skimmed.
There is a load of plaster dust and other dirt and dust everywhere on concrete floors and also wooden floors.
Tried a regular hover and mop and bucket but not having much luck.
Any one got any advice on getting the place nice and clean before decorating?

Is there any product I could add to the water that would help at all? Initial post was a little misleading. It is a henry I am using.

Elbow grease
...alternatively hand the bucket of water to MrsDave and run as fast as you can to the pub! (she might not let you back in after though!!)
Warm soapy (fairy liquid) water is generally better than cold. There's not really any short cuts!

Or a used bolster - wide masonry chisel. This will do less damage to other surfaces.Oh and if you have plaster "snots" (spatters) all over the place they are best tackled dry with a paint scraper.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I find good quality micro fibre cloths are good at picking up dust, used with hot soapy water. As someone else said, you just have to keep at it you'll get there eventually!The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
