Urgent Help Needed: Phone Insurance Claim - Rejected

My Jacket was stolen on a night out which had my two phones in its sealed pocket; A Samsung Galaxy S and a LG GT540. My wife said she placed the jacket on me as I slept on a seat in front of the bar to get a taxi because I was drunk and it was cold. It got stolen but didn't realize till we got home. Told me in the morning.. But she wasn't sure if we had left it in the taxi as I was heavy to carry.

I went to the taxi ranks and didn't find it. Went to the police to report it and got a reference number, cancelled the line from the network provider and went in to the carphonewarehouse to make a claim after searching and looking everywhere and couldn't find it.

It was declined on the basis that I had left the phones unattended to at a public place and I appealed against the decision. After a long 3 weeks battle with the insurance company Geek Squad to be precise, it was refused again, this time saying that the LG which was on pay as you go is not covered and the Samsung Galaxy S which was on contract was refused because I left it unattended at a public place.

I have reported the case to the financial Ombudsman Service and have been told it's gonna take almost 6months to resolve it.
I'm in need of a phone now and looking at the cost of the contract and the phones in question and I feel I have been cheated paying £11 a month for the Samsung Galaxy and £6 for the LG GT540 since the start of the contract...

Any help please! :)
