    Any particular reason ?
  • Because I plan to take out a separate medical insurance for the USA via a personal contact in the USA and which appears to be much cheaper done that way

You can get travel insurance including medical, baggage and cancellation for peanuts for that length of trip.

You cannot by standalone baggage and cancellation.

You could cover your baggage under your home insurance and get limited cover from your credit card if you bought the flights and accomadation on your card
  • Thanks for your inputs dacouch. Unfortunately, being 65 and 69 with pre-existing medical issues the all-in quotes are far from peanuts. However, the medical insurance alone from a US insurer, and initiated in the US, is more attractively priced.
Will contact my house insurer for baggage cover.
  • Hi guys,

I'm travelling to work for Camp America and they have provided me with travel insurance. They are, however, charging me £68 for "Baggage Insurance". Is there anyway to find this cheaper somewhere else cause it seems a lot for simply covering my baggage?

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated
