Evesham v32 emro tv

I am a little peed off to say the least!

Last week I bought a v32 emro from evesham and I must say that I am very happy with it, it was 599 and is just analogue.
Today I had a look at their website and they are now selling a new tv with slightly better specs(i think) with digital for 599 they are still selling my one for 599. They also have another 32 with analouge and still slightly better specs than mine for 499!!! how is this posssible?? :(
could someone have a lookk for me please and compare the TVs??? have I had a bad deal here or not?? grateful for any input

  • I have just spoken to the company and they admitted the new digital tv had overall better specs(not just the fact its digital) but they were still selling the old ones to clear the stock. my point is should they not have reduced the prices on the lower spec range knowing that they were going to be selling a higher spec range at the same price?? otherwise surely a customer that bought that TV yesterday is going to be a little annoyed?? and they still have not reduced the price.

No you are right, they dont HAVE to reduce it all all. but if they do want to clear their stocks then it might be a good idea.

Surely they are entitled to sell at what ever price they want to? It is up to the consumer to decide if that price equals value for money and compares favourably with alternative products both with that supplier and elsewhere?

I was in electrical retailing for 25yrs and had some experience with customers finding the same problem as you especially on sales items (It was an electrical chain), policy then was to explain to the customer that yes there was a newer model at a lower price and the price of the one they had bought but even we dropped the price of the older one and the customer came back to the shop, we couldn't refund any difference.....by the same token if the customer had come into the shop a week later and the price had gone up....we can't very well ask him for MORE money....the price you pay is the price on the day (in the absence of any pricing policy)...you pay your money....you make your choice when you hand it over.....in life you may find its all swings and roundabouts....
